Three women, all from different artistic persuasions, will speak to their own creative processes as instruments of social change. Peg Bowden, author; Betty LaDuke, artist and faculty emeritus, Southern Oregon University; Isabella Tibbetts, Oregon water protector, activist for indigenous women.

Border Immersion Experience

Students and faculty will spend time with asylum seekers in Nogales, Mexico, and participate in a desert search in the Sonoran desert. Coordinated by Peg Bowden and Sister Judy Bourg.

Monthly memorial/protest
Attended by family and supporters, this monthly event commemorates the death of a 16-year-old young man shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent on the night of October 10, 2012. It’s held on the site of his shooting, where there is a memorial. Open to the public.
